FibroWalk Idea

Leave Tom some comments about the FibroWalk here! Would you be able to walk it? How short should the route be? Could you help organize it? Have you taken part in other fundraising walks? If so, how was the experience? Was getting donations hard? Was a free T-shirt included? Where did the walk take place at? We are still in the brainstorming phase and need lots of input!

Next Meeting: November 25

Our next meeting will be November 25, from 6PM-8PM at Zion Lutheran Church in Appleton (Oneida Street at Winnebago Street). We will have another speaker: chiropractor Dr. Vu Nguyen. He works at Strong Chiropractic in Neenah, and was recommended by a member.

Meeting Recap: October

We had our 1st guest speaker! Mike Buyze from East Wind Acupuncture in Appleton talked for the last hour, and told us about Eastern medicine concepts like energy meridians and chi, and how he finds his most successful patients to be those with a positive attitude. Our group is floating around the idea of doing a FibroWalk in spring. Each walker would collect donations and the money would be sent in to the National Fibromyalgia Association. The group is going to be buying a DVD for us all to watch together called Fibromyalgia: Show Me Where it Hurts.
